This is Devin who, at school is in charge of Cymbidiums. This is one of the main groups of orchids we will see in Sikkim so he is really excited. Devin is also looking forward to the food as it is quite different than it is in the UK.

This is Ike Shackleton who is determined to follow in the footsteps of the explorer Shackleton. The only difference is that he is going to the Himalayas not the South Pole. This is the Coelogyne stricta which although it doesn’t smell Ike had to check.

The count down continues. 2 days and 2 hours until we fly to Himalayas. This is Matt, who will be celebrating his 16th birthday out there. This is Matt’s favourite orchid which he describes as ‘the little lellow one’

This is the one and only Heather Limond. She is our only ginger member of the team and it wouldn’t be the same without her. This is a Dendrobium delicatum which we hope to see and smell out there.
