I am Zoe Barnes and I have been with the project for 3 years now. I am in charge orchids with the genus of Prosthecheas, Sophronitis, and Encyclia. I have also been to Durban south Africa to the BGCI conference with the project.

We have just had a brilliant meeting with the deputy director general of export operations and market development. He was very enthusiastic about the project and wanted to help any way that he could.

You probably are looking at this post thinking that we are complaining about nothing as we are in Rwanda and you are in the UK. However we must of had two days of rain in the UK in 30mins. It was very wet and probably asked for it with the school activity.

We have now met with two schools that were really enthusiastic. One was a secondary and the other a primary vet with the same level of excitement. Simon also got them all using there hands to make a rainstorm.

One thing that has already happened that we were not expecting to find was a bird flying around in the house and no one seemed to notice or worry.

We have all arrived safe and sound, after 9 hours of traveling, dinner and 3 breakfasts. We have done one presentation and are ready for the next.
