This sunday we will have a small display along with sales and informational posters at the Bristol University Botanic Garden. The gardens will be open from 2pm. Rather interestingly Simon is singing this weekend in London, meaning that I’m being turned loose on the public!
Over the weekend we were spending time at the welsh botanic garden for the welsh orchid festival. We had great fun! The display looked great and, though we weren’t judged for it, we thing it was excelent seeing as it was erected in less than 2 hours.
This weekend we’re packing our bags and toothbrushes for another orchid project international – to the National Botanic Garden of Wales! We’re exhibiting along with several other orchid growers from all around europe and it should be a good event. You can also visit the Botanic Garden’s event page for full details on this event.
Along with our exhibit we will be giving a lecture on our latest expedition to the Sikkim Himalayas. So, If you’re on this side of the country and don’t get up to London to see us, this is the perfect oppertunity to pop over and say hello!
The event is open from the 5th to 6th of September. We’ll see you there!
A couple of years ago now the orchid project was featured on Japanese TV. The film crews were with us for two days and we had great fun. This video would have been uploaded earlier but it was lost, found, lost again then found but not allowed to upload to YouTube! Finally I’ve done it (well done Dan who suggested the idea) and it’s now availible to watch in it’s full, 20 minute glory, in the media libraries.
