We are pleased to announce that Zygopetalum time has arrived in the Writhlington greenhouse. This Zygopetalum maculatum is wonderfully fragrant as well as drop dead gorgeous. Come and see them for yourself at orchid Christmas.
Every December we have a special evening of orchids called Orchid Christmas. This year it is on Saturday December 13th from 6pm to 9pm and you are all invited.
The evening will include tours of the greenhouses and the magnificent orchids that flower in December, short talks about the Writhlington Orchid Project, plant sales and sales of Rwandan crafts. There will also be a festive atmosphere and see mince pies and mulled wine (or soft drinks) included in the entrance price of £2.
Rwandan crafts imported directly from producers are being sold for the first time this year to help raise funds towards the Rwandan Schools Orchid Project which is the latest initiative from the Writhlington Orchid Project.
