This was the most impressive side of the road I have ever driven past. There were loads and loads of Dendrobium nobiles in almost every tree. This is an example of one that we saw.
We visited the national agriculture research centre for orchids and looked around there greenhouses and labs. We then presented what we do at school to them. This is our team with theirs.
One of the biggest worries as a trip leader is having students that don’t eat properly and so get ill, however, this trip is worry free with everyone eating really well. Breakfast is a six course gourmet delight and enjoyed and devoured by all! Especially Devin.
Using our knowledge gained from Fambong Lho forest yesterday we collaborated in our groups to create wall-sized ‘mash ups’ with photographs, free hand and printed orchid pictures and a whole lot of creativity! Taktse and Writhlington students worked amazingly well in teams and produced and presented inspirational final pieces. Well done everyone, staff from both schools were incredibly impressed.
After an amazing day in the forest with a small group of students we had to show the rest of the school. We decided to make wall size posters and then describe them to the rest of the school. This went really well and they all love it.
