Kew Gardens

This friday we have the people from Kew Gardens coming back. This time they are showing us something because last time we showed them our greenhouses and our microprop techniques. keep watching because we will post up what happens

Back to School

We’re back at school properly now after the Easter Break and are launching straight back to work.  We’re preparing for our big open day for garden societies, where we will be trialling some more methods for this years Orchid Festival.  If all goes to plan, it’s going to be good!

Also we’re entering that infamous exam season. *Dramatic music*  This is the point where all of the year 11s, 12s, 13s and most of the year 10s, disappear under a seemingly never ending pile of revision, coursework catch-up and late night cramming.  During this time, expect to hear more from some of our younger bloggers, who like nothing more than to share what’s happening in the greenhouse with their plant group.

Bristol Garden Life Show

EDIT: We’re actually situated in the Galleries for this event, rather than in Cabot Circus.

For anyone who’s been watching the banner at the top of our homepage, this won’t come as a surprise:

We’re going to the Bristol Garden Life Show! This new event, organised by Bristol City Council is designed to get people into gardening. We’re going along, and teaming up with our good friends at the Bristol University Botanic Garden, to promote plant conservation across the world. This three-day extravaganza will take place from April 15 to 17, right in the centre of Bristol.

The practical upshot of this is that you can stroll into Cabot Circus between the 15th and 17th of April and talk to us about your orchids, our orchids, or even buy yourself a new one! We look forward to seeing you there!
