During a break in activities today Josh modelled our new Ponchos for students to ensure that none of the students joining us in Nyungwe rainforest get soggy.

The first day workshops at FAWE have been a great success with Aaron leading a workshop on Data logging to prepare for data collection in Nyungwe, Jacob leading a botany workshop (Orchid in a box) and Chloe leading a workshop on growing media preparation.
What an interesting sight we had at FAWE today: black-headed weavers (perching on a branch) and a hadada ibis (on its nest). Both were on the same tree, which was full of the hanging nests of the weavers. This was the first time I have seen hanging nests!
