Now the days are shorter and the skies cloudy the greenhouse was feeling quite gloomy. It was definitely time to remove the ‘grow your own shading’ from our greenhouse windows.

The students set to work this lunch time with kitchen scourers and warm soapy water to remove the algae and moss that was growing there.

It did not take long before we were able to see through the glass and much more light to enter the greenhouse.  I am sure our orchids will appreciate the extra light during the winter months to come and  our greenhouse definitely looks smarter.

Yes we can see you Mr Crease.  No more hiding away in the greenhouse!
