An interesting observation with bulbophyllum species is that the bulbs are a poor guide to the size of flower – we have some small bulbed species with really large flowers and this species with large bulbs and tiny yellow and orange flowers. As plants grow stronger we are looking forward to multiple longer spikes of dense flowers.

Bulbophyllum is found from Myanmar through Malaysia to the Philippines in warm lowland forest similar to that we have explored in Sarawak.
