We are just back from an inspiring two days exploring one of the worlds most divers habitats, Mulu National Park. The park is most famous for its caves (the entrance to the world’s biggest cave, deer cave) it’s bats and variety on insects, reptiles and frogs. It also has one remarkable endemic orchids and we will show you all of these once we gather all the best photos from fifteen cameras.

As you can see the first day was a little wet (it is a rainforest!) but it didn’t stop us making the most of our time there, or stop the bats emerging dramatically at dusk.

An exciting part of the day was a 400m journey through the tree tops on the canopy walkway.

High above the forest floor and the rivers below we found orchids and Pygmy Squirrels. One of the orchids being Bulbophyllum purpurescens below.

Everywhere we found fascinating species, making our trek possibly the slowest ever recorded.
