Tallis becomes a Penan Tribe musician
Henry’s mum (right) makes traditional Penan nose flutes and sells them at the village market. Not surprisingly, our team musician, Tallis, was keen to learn about the musical traditions of the Penan. After a little tuition, and some intense practice, Tallis was acclaimed by the locals and tourists as a virtuoso nose flautist.
Ed Jones is confident he can make Penan nose flutes back in the UK, and the Sarawak team are now planning a nose flute orchestra piece at the school Christmas concert.
What a talented group you all are!! Love reading the updates and can’t wait to see what comes next…. if you ever need another adult I’m more than happy to support!
Nose flute carols? Sounds good 🙂
That is very optimistic of you. Opinion here is that Tallis will sound good and the rest of us will sound.
