Restrepia muscifera – 365 days of orchids – day 791
One very reliable treat in the our Cool Americas section is restrepia flowers as we always have at least one species in flower. Restrepia muscifera is a variable species found from Central America through to Ecuador and this red spotted clone in particular is a strong growing and free flowering plant that regularly sends out show like the one we are enjoying this week.
In the greenhouse we are busy getting ready for the Cheltenham Orchid Show this Saturday 2nd March at the Churchdown Community Centre, Parton Road, Churchdown, Gloucester, GL3 2JH. The show is open from 10.30 am to 4.00 pm and we look forward to seeing lots of our friends there. We will be selling and setting up a display so let us know if there a particular plants you would like us to bring along.
