Orchids of Sarawak and Orchids for Sarawak
It is now 36 hours until we catch our flight to Sarawak and tomorrow will be bust with last minute packing including the orchids we will take to the MRSM School laboratory. This time we are trialling taking our in-vitro plants in sterile jars without agar to limit damage in transit. We have our visit from Plant Health in the morning to give us our phytosanitary certificate and export permit to go with our Malaysian import permit.
We are also celebrating Tallis finishing her guide to the Orchids Of Sarawak. With photographs of over 1000 orchids native to Sarawak the book will be a real asset to us on the trip and to our partners at MRSM and the Sarawak Orchid Society. Well done Tallis.
