Orchid Project working with The Living Rainforest

We have had an exciting evening working with Charlotte and Peter at The Living Rainforest on their new Cloud Forest Orchid display. The first fifty species from Writhlington will be used with existing orchids and other plants to represent the astonishing biodiversity of South and Central American cloud forests and introduce this precious habitat to the public.

During our very productive session we discussed the cultural requirements of the orchid species, approaches to building the display and future plans for joint activities. STEM enterprise students also had an opportunity to interview Peter for their project work.

After our forthcoming expedition to Sarawak, Mendip Studio School students will be running a ‘Borneo Day’ at The Living Rainforest – watch this space for more information.
