365 days of orchids – day 450 – Leptotes pohlitinocoi

This little orchid from Bahia, Brazil was a much photographed plant in Paris last week. It has small terete leaves and bright flowers produced in ones and twos from the last year’s growths. The species is found from 300 to 800 and we grow the species in Warm Americas. The species is very pendulous and definitely a species to grow mounted as both the leaves and flowers grow downwards.
