Our Lab propagation team were out on tour this weekend running propagation workshops at the Science Week Science Fair at St Mary’s School, Timsbury. Ben, Joe, Ruby and Eleanor worked really hard to train up primary pupils to re-plate their own orchid seedling into a test tube to take home and grow. The picture above shows Ben acting as teacher working in our travelling flow cabinet.
Some of the children we trained were younger than is usual for aseptic science practical but Eleanor was great at getting down to their level and some really quality science learning took place.
One thing is for sure the lab caused a lot of excitement and Joe’s young trainees are clearly delighted with their results.
Well done to the team both in Timsbury and back at school where the the lab is currently running record production rates thanks to the fantastic comittment of orchid project students.
