With Christmas fast approaching thoughts turn to traditional festivities and top of the list must be Orchid Christmas at the Writhlington Greenhouses.

For anyone who hasn’t been before it is an evening of orchids, mince pies and mulled wine to celebrate the winter months when a greenhouse comes into its own.

The greenhouse in Mid December is awash with tropical wonders and, as well as the orchids, we will have a an orchid treasure hunt for all the family, plants, cards and botanical art for sale, and a chance to have a go in our propagation lab and grow your own orchids in a jar – what a perfect Christmas present!

No need to book just come to school and look for the lights coming from the greenhouse.
