Ofsted recognises the value of the Writhlington School Orchid Project

Writhlington’s latest Ofsted report is published today and includes recognition of the value of the orchid project to student at the school:

A remarkable feature of the school is The Orchid Project, an activity that enables pupils and students to get involved with a nationally renowned programme. Pupils from all year groups and all backgrounds learn how to germinate and cultivate orchids, and they develop an expert understanding of the subject. The school’s expertise in this area has led to exhibitions at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and study trips to unusual destinations such as Rwanda.
