WSBEorchids

Off to a great start

The team are all settled down for their first night under a Rwandan sky. Everything is going to plan and I must thank our friends at Kitabi College for making us feel very looked after from the moment we arrived.
It has been a real pleasure to get to know Marshall Banamwana an inspirational Lecturer at Kitabi and leading on the orchid project there. Great also to meet Daniel who, amongst other things, drives the amazing Kitabi bus (featured in Zoe’s post) which will be taking us out to Kitabi and Nyungwe Forest tomorrow after last minute laboratory shopping in Kigali.

Great to see your post this morning and to hear what a kind welcome you are enjoying. Daniel and his bus driving will really be a huge advantage to the project. Have fun among all the lovely work you’re doing and keep posting your news, which we will be reading and enjoying. Love, Simon’s Mum
